These roasted sweet potato rounds are the perfect base for both sweet and savory toppings. Simple, healthy, and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: garlic powder paprika, or cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub sweet potatoes thoroughly. Slice into ½-inch thick rounds.
  3. Arrange slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Brush both sides with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any extra seasoning.
  5. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until edges are golden and centers tender.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before adding toppings.
