Ingredients
  

For the Apple Cake:
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups peeled finely chopped apples
For the Salted Caramel Frosting:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup salted caramel sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 2 –3 tbsp heavy cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven and prepare cake pans.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients; set aside.
  3. Beat butter, oil, and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream.
  4. Fold in dry ingredients and apples. Bake 25–30 mins.
  5. Beat frosting ingredients until creamy.
  6. Layer cakes with frosting and Snickers pieces.
  7. Frost outside of cake, garnish with Snickers and caramel drizzle.
