This Reese’s Peanut Butter Cake is a rich chocolate cake layered with creamy peanut butter frosting and topped with Reese’s cups for the ultimate dessert.

Ingredients
  

For the cake:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
For the peanut butter frosting:
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream add more if needed for consistency
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For garnish:
  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups chopped
  • Chocolate drizzle optional

Method
 

For the Cake:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch pans.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
  4. Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
  5. Pour batter into pans.
  6. Bake 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool cakes completely.
For the Frosting:
  1. Beat peanut butter and butter until creamy.
  2. Add powdered sugar and cream slowly.
  3. Mix in vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
To Assemble:
  1. Place first cake layer on plate.
  2. Spread frosting on top. Add chopped Reese’s.
  3. Place second cake layer on top.
  4. Frost top and sides.
  5. Decorate with Reese’s and chocolate drizzle.
