Ingredients
  

  • 4 pork chops bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 2 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup optional, for creamy rice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a 9x13 baking dish, mix rice, broth, onion, garlic powder, paprika, and soup (if using).
  3. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. (Optional) Sear pork chops in a skillet with butter for 2 minutes per side.
  5. Place pork chops on top of rice mixture. Cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 45–55 minutes, until rice is tender and pork chops reach 145°F (63°C).
  7. Rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired

Notes

  • Use bone-in chops for more flavor and juiciness.
  • Add vegetables like peas, carrots, or green beans before baking.
  • Stir in cheese for a creamy, cheesy version.
