Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen broad beans shelled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley or mint for garnish

Method
 

  1. Remove broad beans from the pods.
  2. Boil them in salted water for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Drain and cool slightly.
  4. Peel off the outer skins for a softer texture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a pan.
  6. Add chopped onion and garlic.
  7. Cook until soft and golden.
  8. Add the broad beans to the pan.
  9. Season with salt, pepper, and cumin.
  10. Squeeze lemon juice over the beans.
  11. Stir gently and cook for 2–3 minutes.
  12. Garnish with parsley or mint.
  13. Serve warm or cold.
