Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar for biscuits
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup cold unsalted butter cubed
  • cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Slice strawberries and mix with sugar. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until mixture is crumbly.
  4. Add milk and vanilla. Stir to form dough.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12–15 minutes.
  6. Whip cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  7. Slice biscuits, layer with strawberries and whipped cream.
  8. Top with more cream and strawberries.
