Method
- Mix warm water, warm milk, honey, and yeast; let sit until foamy.
- Stir in olive oil, oats, whole wheat flour, and salt. Gradually add all-purpose flour.
- Knead dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Place in oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (1–1.5 hours).
- Punch down, shape into a loaf, and place in greased loaf pan. Sprinkle oats on top. Let rise 30–40 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden and hollow-sounding.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
