Ingredients
  

  • 300 g fresh long beans
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Wash the long beans and cut them into 2-inch pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant.
  4. Add the long beans and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and oyster sauce. Mix well.
  6. Season with a little salt and pepper.
  7. Cook for another 2 minutes until beans are tender but still crisp.
  8. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the beans; they should stay slightly crunchy.
  • Add chili flakes or fresh red chili for a spicy kick.
  • You can substitute oyster sauce with hoisin sauce or skip it for a lighter dish.
  • For extra protein, stir-fry with sliced chicken, beef, or tofu.
