Method
- Wash the long beans and cut them into 2-inch pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant.
- Add the long beans and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes.
- Pour in soy sauce and oyster sauce. Mix well.
- Season with a little salt and pepper.
- Cook for another 2 minutes until beans are tender but still crisp.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
- Do not overcook the beans; they should stay slightly crunchy.
- Add chili flakes or fresh red chili for a spicy kick.
- You can substitute oyster sauce with hoisin sauce or skip it for a lighter dish.
- For extra protein, stir-fry with sliced chicken, beef, or tofu.
