Ingredients
  

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Mix all the spices in a small bowl.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  3. Brush each fillet with olive oil or butter.
  4. Sprinkle the spice mix on both sides of the salmon.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
  6. Place the salmon in the skillet, flesh side down.
  7. Cook for 3–4 minutes without moving it.
  8. Flip the salmon carefully.
  9. Cook for another 3–5 minutes until it flakes with a fork.
  10. Remove from the pan and serve with lemon wedges.
